Restriction on design shape
The following is an example. Please contact us for details.
1. Avoid corners and narrow and long grooves.
● To ensure mold strength and to uniformly fill the powder, avoid Right Angle and attach R.
● Avoid narrow and long grooves, make round grooves.
2. Avoid thin walls, please make round holes if possible.
● Making round holes makes mold making easier, lowering costs.
● Take wall thickness so that powder easily flows.
● Make the wall thickness thicker than 0.8 mm.
● Length should not be more than 2.5 times the diameter.
3. There are constraints on die manufacturing.
● Completely spherical surface is impossible to mold, so attach a flat part.
● Avoid the same dimensions of the gear bottom diameter and the boss diameter (minimum diameter difference of 3 mm is required).
4. Shape that can obtain uniform density and shape that can be drawn out.
● Inverse taper is impossible to form, so it will be machined.
● V-shaped grooves at right angles to the molding direction · Holes are machined, but the bead grooves in the molding direction can be molded.
● Provide a taper on the outer diameter and the inner diameter on the side opposite to the boss portion.
● It is better to machine machined parts with multiple steps.
